The island of Elba is connected to the mainland by four shipping companies-Toremar, Blu Navy, Moby Lines, and Corsica Ferries-that run daily services between Piombino and Portoferraio (Toremar also to Rio Marina, Moby Lines also to Cavo).
The crossing takes about 60 minutes (40 minutes with Corsica Ferries).
Toremar also runs some hydrofoil rides (30') to Cavo and Portoferraio.
